H.I.T. Program

The High Potential University Leaders Identity & Skills Training Program - Inclusive Leadership in Academia (H.I.T. Program) is a leadership development program for established women professors aspiring to institutional leadership roles and advancing their academic careers. Going beyond leadership development and peer exchange, it fosters collaboration among participants to address structural challenges in academia and contribute to a more inclusive culture.

Since 2025, the H.I.T. Program has been hosted by the Center for Higher Education and Science Studies (CHESS) at the University of Zurich, building on four editions delivered as a collaborative project of all Swiss universities. With the continued support of the senior leadership of the ten cantonal universities, ETH Zurich, and EPFL, the program remains open to women professors from all Swiss universities.

Key Components

  • Leadership Training: Engaging workshops with academic leadership experts, designed to enhance leadership skills.

  • Personalized Coaching: One-on-one sessions with professional coaches to support individual leadership journeys.

  • Academic Leadership Circles: Collaborative small-group sessions focused on shared experiences and growth.

  • Networking Opportunities: Connect with inspiring Alumnae and peers from other Swiss universities.

The program is offered annually and includes events held at various locations across Switzerland.
